About Me & KinderCounts

Welcome!  I am thrilled to start this blog!  It has been a dream of mine for the past three years to create my own content to help inspire other teachers.  I finally have the courage to put my thoughts and ideas out there and share them with the world (or just my fellow kindergarten teachers!).  Reading teaching blogs has helped me grow as an educator and has made me a better a teacher.  My hope is that my blog can give you ideas and help you grow as well.

I feel passionate about the content I am uploading because I truly believe that kindergarten teachers are the unsung heroes in the education world! I have been teaching kindergarten for eight years and one of my favorite parts of the job is collaborating with other teachers!  I want to share my ideas and resources with you to help your students as other teacher have helped me with mine.

My hope is to use this space to support your goals.  To make learning developmentally appropriate while still making academic gains.  To create a classroom environment where the children feel happy, safe, and free from stress.  To give these young students a positive school experience that sets them up for a successful future academic career.
